An annual well-woman check-up is necessary for preventive care. North Scottsdale Women’s Care conducts thorough exams, ensuring a holistic view of your health and wellness. From critical STD screenings to essential Pap smears, we strive to identify and address a variety of female health issues.
At North Scottsdale Women’s Care, our dedicated providers ensure your annual well-woman check-up is both thorough and personalized. During your visit, we'll address all your health queries and delve into your medical and familial health history. We will discuss your sexual wellness, relationships, and lifestyle choices like drug, alcohol, or tobacco use. We will conduct a pelvic examination to inspect the health of your reproductive organs, along with a breast exam. If you're 40 or older, or have a family predisposition to breast cancer, we may suggest a mammogram. Interested in family planning or contraception? This is the perfect time to have that conversation. Additionally, we offer STD screenings for those who desire it, seamlessly integrated into this yearly visit. Depending on your health history, we might recommend more regular check-ups.
North Scottsdale Women’s Care is ready to offer an array of resources, from stress reduction strategies to dietary and exercise guidelines, even smoking cessation assistance.
As part of your annual well-woman exam, you may also receive a Pap smear that tests for precancerous cells in the cervix. During a Pap smear, we will use a long cotton swab to take a cell sample from your cervix, and it will be sent to a medical laboratory.
If the results of the Pap smear indicate a potential problem, we will contact you directly to discuss your treatment options.
To schedule a well-woman exam, book an appointment online or by calling the office directly.
